We are well used to seeing the success of students and staff in the papers, but it was a case of ‘oh girl’ when we caught sight of the wonderful cover photographs in the Belfast Telegraph and the News Letter this morning which featured SERC’s own Joanne White.
Joanne (53), an Admin Support Officer with the Information Technology & Services team, is part of local history with the arrival of her first grandchild, Isla Sara (three weeks) who was born to Joanne’s daughter, Chelsea (23). The little bundle of joy means the family spans five generations with Great, Great Grandmother Elizabeth (102) followed by Great Grandmother Joan (78).
Chelsea is a past student of SERC, who graduated from the Ulster University Foundation Degree in Management and Joanne has just completed her C&G Level 6 Award for Professional Recognition.
We like to plan ahead here with our features, so we just need get little Isla Sara enrolled, and that will be another story in about 16 years.
