The Institute of Physics (IOP) in Ireland and Northern Ireland have developed the IOP Limit Less campaign to support more young people to fulfil their potential by pursuing physics.

To support the Limit Less campaign, IOP are looking for people who studied physics to share stories about their jobs, the study or training they did and the opportunities that were opened up to them by studying physics. These stories will feature in an inspirational career booklet which can be accessed by all citizens including school students, parents/guardians, teachers and Careers Professionals.

They are keen to highlight alternative routes with physics such as apprenticeships and traineeships; where physics may have been beneficial as an A-Level subject (or equivalent), or where they may be studying elements of physics as part of their apprenticeship or traineeship.

If you are student, lecturer or part of a network or industry where physics is key and would like to take part, register your interest by Friday 16 July.

IOP would particularly encourage expressions of interest from:
• People with a post-16 qualification in physics
• Current or recent apprentices or trainees
• People who have taken a non-academic route into their careers
• Those who are underrepresented in physics, i.e. Women, BAME, LGBT+ or people with a disability
• People early in their careers
• People working in physics-related roles in non-traditional settings.
