We are all facing different challenges whilst remote working. We all will have different responsibilities, concerns as well as resilience and ways of coping but with support and help it may help to reduce your worries.

We are all facing different challenges whilst remote working whether it be worrying about the coronavirus and how it is affecting your life, having to stay at home, working from home while also balancing childcare, home schooling or caring for others, feeling isolated, general uncertainty, financial worries or struggling with the introduction of new technology.

We all have different responsibilities and concerns, but also resilience and ways of coping; with support it may help to reduce your worries.

You may find it useful to talk about your concerns or difficulties with someone you trust at this crucial time. In addition to being able to speak with your line manager, a colleague or a mental health first aider, you can also make use of the Inspire Counselling services. Human Resources have now set up a confidential support hub where staff can raise their concern or query in confidence for assistance.

By emailing remoteworkingassist@serc.ac.uk and sending a brief outline of your concern, along with a contactable phone number, your request will be picked up by a member of the HR team who will direct and support you in reaching a resolution.

Also, if you feel there are any additional support mechanisms that can be put in place during this time to support yourself and/or staff please email in confidence to remoteworkingassist@serc.ac.uk

Apply now for courses commencing September 2020. For more information visit www.serc.ac.uk to find out how you could be #BetterOffAtSERC
