Guest Speaker Gives Digital Lowdown to Enterprise Students

Local entrepreneur Robert Ferguson, founder and Managing Director of Four Gears Media, took time out of his busy schedule to give digital insights to students from two innovation and enterprise courses at SERC’s Downpatrick Campus this week.

Twenty-five (25) students from the Be Your Own Boss and Step Into Enterprise programmes joined Robert to hear about his journey as an entrepreneur and received some advice on digital marketing.

Robert, a senior executive with a proven track record of success in turnaround situations, new ventures, and start-ups and digital marketing expert, has been supporting SERC’s student companies with social media development and promotion.

SERC’s Be Your Own Boss and Step Into Enterprise are designed to support learners to develop transversal skills and enterprising mindsets. The courses are designed to support learners into employment or to explore self-employment. Learners also have the opportunity to receive support to develop their own entrepreneurial ventures.
