Go Green Pledge

January is the month for looking ahead and setting targets for the New Year. While many of us will automatically think of our health and work when creating New Year’s Resolutions, we might not consider what we can do to support the planet.

However, including one or two eco resolutions among our goals can make a big difference to the environment. For example, by simply bringing a reusable bottle to work or College, you could save up to 2.5kg* of plastic from ending up in our oceans and landfill every year and find yourself £104* better off!

Research shows that taking time to write down and describe your goals can increase the likelihood of achieving them. With this in mind, the Go Green team have created a ‘Go Green Pledge’ template for you to record your eco goals!

The team are keen to hear about your resolutions and to support any eco projects, so please do upload your pledge to the ‘Go Green Pledges’ channel of the Eco Microsoft Team or email it to gogreen@serc.ac.uk. We also welcome updates and photos of your progress! Outstanding efforts will be recognised!
