Culture Lab

Friday 14th of August – 10am to 5pm

Saturday 15th of August – 10am to 5pm

Sunday 16th of August – 10am to 5pm

This new exhibition poses questions about culture and offers a glimpse into how identities have been, and continue to be, shaped in Ireland and Northern Ireland. The exhibition includes the famous ‘Differences’ blackboard from the hit TV series Derry Girls, which is on public display for the very first time. Inspired by this iconic prop, the museum will also display a new interactive installation that will test visitors’ preconceptions and challenge traditional stereotypes. You can interact with the stories, hopes and aspirations of real people from across Northern Ireland and bordering counties, collected through the participants of ‘Making the Future’ engagement programmes. Click here to find out more.

Late Lewis

Saturday 15th of August – 2pm to 3pm

This uplifting four-person outdoor show outlines the life and times of C.S. Lewis and features a 1940’s musical soundtrack. Brief extracts from the poetry of Lewis’s wife Joy Davidman are also included. This fully seated show will take place in the wonderful surroundings of C.S. Lewis Square with its natural outdoor auditorium and Narnia sculptures. We’re hoping for good weather - bring a picnic (and an umbrella just in case!)  Extracts by C.S. Lewis © copyright C.S.
