The colour run is back for another year!
Hosted by SERC Foundation Degree in Sports Science, Coaching and Fitness students, this is an untimed, fun run where participants are showered with coloured powder from various stations throughout the run.
The colour run will be held on April 9 from 10:00a.m.-1p.m.
Event co-ordinator and student Reece Irvine said, “Myself and the other members of the team are working hard to make this year’s colour run a successful, fun and safe event. We are excited to be raising money for Lisburn’s newest charity, Emerge, a suicide and self-harm prevention centre. The money raised will help the growth and expansion of the charity and will be life-changing to those in need.”
The run is open to all students and SERC staff members (19+) and will be held at Wallace Park in Lisburn. It costs only £2 to enter.
Runners are advised to wear an old white t-shirt and sunglasses when participating.
Participants will gather in the SERC Lisburn’s central hall at 10:00a.m. on April 9 for registration. Free face painting will be on offer from SERC’s Hair and Beauty Students. Participants will then be escorted to Wallace Park where the event will take place.
Runners can then enjoy a hearty bowl of stew and refreshments back at SERC after crossing the finish line.
If you would like to sign up, registration forms can be collected and entry fee paid at Lisburn reception.
