Local Businesses invited to networking lunch

SERC and Down Business Centre are hosting a networking lunch for local businesses during Newry Mourne and Down Enterprise Week at 12 noon on Wednesday 16 November at the College’s Downpatrick Campus.

Elaine Flynn, Commercial Contracts Manager at SERC said, “We are delighted to take part in NMD Enterprise Week 2022. Our networking lunch, in partnership with Down Business Centre, is free to attend for local businesses.   It offers an opportunity to connect with SERC’s Training and Business Services teams who will be on hand to speak with entrepreneurs and employers about the range of support available through the College - from Department for the Economy fully funded programmes to support training and innovation, to the NI Apprenticeship Scheme, to bespoke training - to help meet the needs of local businesses in these challenging times.”

Councillor Michael Savage, Chairperson of Newry Mourne and Down District Council, commented, “As businesses across the District continue to operate within incredibly challenging and uncertain times, this year’s NMD Enterprise Week and the support it offers couldn’t be timelier. The SERC business lunch links in with theme of NMD Enterprise Week 2022 which is ‘Make it Your Business’. This is a fantastic opportunity for local business owners and managers to build connections with staff from the College and learn about the wide range of support and advice services offered at SERC’s Downpatrick Campus. Having a strong network of connections and knowing who to contact for support is essential for business growth and development. I would encourage anyone with an interest to get in touch with the College directly.”

The event is free to attend for local businesses, but tickets must be booked in advance by Monday 14 November. Click here to secure your place.
