SERC were glad to see the return of our Christmas fairs as students, staff, and the general public were welcomed to our Bangor, Downpatrick, Lisburn & Newtownards campuses to browse the festive stalls, which featured a wide range of crafts, jewellery and culinary treats.
Megan Rollins Senior Innovation Advisor for SERC’s Enterprise, Entrepreneurship and Environment Department, spoke about the return of the fairs. “It was fantastic to have the opportunity to host onsite fairs again and even better to see and feel the buzz around the campuses as people embraced the festive atmosphere.”
“Visitors had the opportunity to browse the products and treat themselves to something unique or indulge in some tasty treats created and prepared by the college students. As always, the fairs provided our fantastic student companies with the opportunity to gain experience in creating, producing and selling their own products to fellow students, staff and members of the public. It is a great opportunity for students to develop their enterprise skills.”
“This year we had the fairs as well as our Christmas catalogue, which provided our students companies with another platform and opportunity to showcase the amazing vast array of products they sell including clothing, jewellery, skincare products, pin badges, origami bookmarks, wall prints, Christmas cakes, and of course, Christmas decorations.”
The students and staff would like to thank everyone who came along for their support. Check out our website events page, social and local press for future fairs through the year.
