Christmas Catalogue Launch and Christmas Fairs Return

It’s that time of year where we look forward to all things festive and SERC’s Enterprise and Entrepreneurship team are delighted to be bringing you not only the SERC Christmas Catalogue also the return of Christmas Fairs on campus.

Megan Rollins, Senior Innovation Advisor for SERC’s Enterprise, Entrepreneurship and Environment Department spoke about the Christmas Catalogue, “Due to lockdown restrictions we were unable to host on campus fairs for quite a while, however during that time we looked for alternative methods to showcase the amazing range of products and services offered by our wonderful student companies. We therefore came up with the idea of a virtual seasonal catalogue which has proved to have been popular among staff and students. Despite the return of on campus fairs we wanted to continue the production of these catalogues with our Christmas 2021 edition.”

Speaking about the return of the Christmas fairs, Megan added “We’re very excited to host an onsite fair for the first time since February 2020, which will be open to staff, students and public. Visitors will be able to browse our student companies’ wonderful range of products, perhaps treat themselves to something unique or indulge in some tasty treats created and prepared by the college students. It’s worth coming along to soak up the festive vibes and atmosphere whilst browsing through the stalls.”

Megan concluded by saying “Our catalogue and fairs will feature a vast array of products including clothing, jewellery, skincare products, pin badges, origami bookmarks, wall prints, Christmas cakes, and of course, Christmas decorations plus much more. Hopefully the fairs and catalogue will provide some festive cheer and will get staff and students into the Christmas spirit.”

The fairs will be hosted on the following locations, dates and times:

• Bangor 7 December 11am-1pm
• Newtownards 8 December 11am-1pm
• Lisburn 9 December 11am-1pm
• Downpatrick 9 December 11am-1pm
