Children’s Mental Health Week is the 1st to the 7th of February 2021

Children’s Mental Health Week is the 1st to the 7th of February 2021. With the effects COVID-19 has had on everyone, this is not only a significant change for parents but also for children who have had to adjust once again to being taught from home, away from their school friends and daily routine as well as maybe being at the age to understand the immense media cover in relation to COVID-19.

The theme for Children’s Mental Health is “Express Yourself”. Expressing yourself is about finding ways for the children to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas through creativity. This could be through art, music writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography, and film, and doing activities that make them feel good.

Place2Bs’s, have created resources for children aged 4 to 11 years such as Draw your feelings and Squiggle Game with short demos Parents and Carers - Children's Mental Health Week 2021 Wellbeing activity ideas for the family are also available on the site Coronavirus: wellbeing activity ideas for families (place2be.org.uk)
