Careers Service: 2018/19 At a Glance

SERC's 2018/19 academic year saw a large increase in the amount of services and sessions provided by our Careers team, both at the College and externally to local schools, businesses and local community groups.  

Here at the College, our careers officers provide a professional, impartial and confidential service, to help young people and adults make informed choices about their future career and next steps. The Careers team are accredited with the Matrix Standard for the quality of their career education, information, advice and guidance service.

Careers advisors can help you to research your options, prioritise your goals and take those vital next steps on your career path and more including:

• Choosing suitable courses
• UCAS and other higher education applications
• Preparation for higher education interviews
• Job searching, applications, CV’s, interview preparation
• Work placement and volunteering opportunities
