Level 3 Certification in Gas ACS Training and Assessment

The CCN1 core domestic gas safety certificate is regarded as an equivalent to a Level 3 QCF/RQF qualification in the gas utilisation sector and satisfies the same gas safety criteria leading to a certificate of competence recognised by the Gas Safe Register. Once gained, this allows the candidate to join the Gas Safe Register and after one years full membership on the Gas Safe Register, a candidate can enter into completing their Gas Appliances such as Cookers CKR1 and Fires HTR1 and/or LPG Changeover.

Course Overview
This course is targeted at Gas engineers, Plumbers with ACS gas qualifications (Domestic Only)
 
CCN1 is required for any operative wishing to work on domestic gas installations and appliances. In addition, the operative must also hold the relevant appliance element relating to the work they wish to undertake.
  • CPA1 is now included in the CCN1 assessment process
  • CENWAT1 - central heating boilers and water heaters

The course content is based on the level of the entrant’s current experience, a new entrant will complete 6 written exams, 3 Practical Assessment Workbooks and a suite of Practical Assessments.

A candidate who is renewing their Gas qualifications will complete one written exam one Practical Assessment Workbook and a suite of Practical Assessments

This course is for current Gas engineers, or plumbers who have recently completed a relevant managed learning programme.
