Course Overview

It is expected that learners will already be working in a Project Management environment, although the qualification is also open to learners wishing to build on their general management skills. The programme is delivered over three days or six evenings.

Candidates who complete the programme will gain an understanding of the nature and context of projects, along with the management of stakeholders and project team roles and responsibilities. The planning and control of projects will be covered allowing candidates to gain a solid understanding of all aspects of effective project management.

You are a manager of Projects and you are looking to to extend your skills and knowledge to embrace further project management disciplines.

This course is about the nature and context of projects, individual roles and responsibilities within projects, and a project management process.

Gaining an understanding of the nature and context of projects

The qualification provides opportunities for progression for other qualifications at the same or higher levels, which could also be work-based or more academically structured. The qualification also supports learners in meeting the requirements for work and/or employment within all areas of management and leadership at this level.

it is ideal if you are a manager of Projects and you are looking to to extend your skills and knowledge to embrace further project management disciplines. You also must have the ability to commit to the training time and completion of a written and oral assessment.

Candidates are expected to attend three full days/ 6 half days of training, complete a written assignment and deliver a presentation on their final day of training in order to pass the assessment.

Further Education

If you have just completed your GCSEs, Further Education is most likely the option for you. FE covers qualifications from entry to higher level qualifications such as Awards, Certificates, Diplomas, NVQ, BTEC and Apprenticeships.
