Course Overview

This course aims to develop the practical skills and knowledge which are essential for working in the polymer processing industry.  Successful completion will lead to the award of a Pearson BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and a PAAVQ-SET Level 3 Certificate in Polymer Operations.

 As a student you will spend a minimum of one day/week in College and 4 days/week with your employer

 You are employed and wish to pursue a career in the Polymer Processing industry

 About a range of polymer processes including injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion

 The visits to a range of polymer processing companies

Successful completion will enable you to apply for a suitable Higher Education course at Levels 4 - 6.

An employer and 5 GCSEs Grades A* - C to include English and Mathematics or equivalent Level 2 qualification.
