Level 2 Traineeship in Applied Science
The Level 2 Traineeship in Applied Science aims to develop your understanding, knowledge and practical skills in relation to the science industry.
The Traineeship programme will allow you to achieve a full Level 2 qualification and will comprise the following key elements:
A main vocational based qualification
Vocational skills development
Transversal and digital skills
Work placement/Simulation
Literacy and numeracy qualifications at Level 2 (may include GCSE qualifications in English and mathematics)
Modules include:
Principles of Science (Exam)
Chemistry and our Earth
Energy and our Universe
Biology and our Environment
Applications of Chemical Substances
Applications of Physical Science
Plus 4 optional modules TBC
4 GCSEs grades D-G, including at least Grade D in Maths and Grade D in English or Essential Skills Level 1 in Literacy & Numeracy.
Applicants that have not obtained the above grades may be eligible to enrol as an Introductory Trainee.
