Course Overview
This is a one-year course, delivered on our Holywood Horticulture Campus.  It covers basic botany and plant selection, and a wide range of propagation techniques.  Assessment is through completion of an online workbook.  

Selecting Plants, Propagation

You are keen to expand your plant knowledge, and learn how to grow your own plants.

Over the year you will learn some basic plant science and botany, be introduced to a wide range of plants on our campus and on visits, and will learn how to propagate your own plants from seeds and cuttings. 

The horticultural facilities on our Holywood Campus. 

From the Level 2 in Plant Knowledge you can progress to any of our other Level 2 courses, such as Gardening Skills, Growing Organic Fruit and Veg or Garden Design. 

You will need an interest in plants, and basic literacy and IT skills to allow you to complete the assessment workbook.
