Gas Appliances

The CCN1 core domestic gas safety certificate is regarded as an equivalent to a Level 3 QCF/RQF qualification in the gas utilisation sector and satisfies the same gas safety criteria leading to a certificate of competence recognised by the Gas Safe Register. Once gained, this allows the candidate to join the Gas Safe Register and after one years full membership of the Gas Safe Register, a candidate can enter into completing their Gas Appliances such as Cookers CKR1 and Fires HTR1.

Course Overview

The course begins with a refresher industry update session and then follows into the mix of both practical and theory assessments.

The course content is based on the level of the entrant’s current experience, a new entrant will complete 2 written exams and a suite of Practical Assessments. Cookers CKR1 and Fires HTR1

You are a qualified gas engineer and you hold your CCN1, CENWAT1, CPA1 and have completed a minimum of one year on the Gas Safe Register.

The regulations and requirements to work on the core and specialist areas around Gas Appliances.

The challenge of the course and the progression that it offers as well as the hands-on practical aspects of this training. 

To being able to work on Gas Appliances on successful completion.

This course is open to learners who are Gas Safe Registered engineers who have been on the register for 6 months or longer.
