Course Overview
This Level 2 course is designed to allow the learner to gain knowledge within the insulation of the Domestic Dwelling and how to meet the challenges of fabric first approach and the Carbon reduction and energy savings of the property.

The course modules are as follows:

  • Understand building insulation.
  • Understand the use of internal wall, insulation (IWI) and external wall & insulation (EWI).
  • Understand the enhancement of insultation for door, window and framing.

For learners looking for an academic qualification/CPD in the insulation fabric first approach to de-carbonisation environmental sector.

And gain skills and knowledge in Carbon Zero new and emerging retrofitting techniques and practices.

Learning about the new suite of Fabric first Green Carbon Reducing and Carbon Reducing Retrofitting processes that will reduce our need for consuming fossil fuel within domestic dwellings.

From here learners may progress to higher level qualifications in the area of environmental conservation and green technologies or into employment.

Learners must be at least 18 years of age and have an interest in construction or qualification such as NVQ or a background/experience in construction.
