HE Enrolment Day Information
Thanks for clicking on the link! Whilst we are excited about a new academic term, we need to ensure that we adhere to public health guidance.
Enrolments for courses starting in September 2020 are still going ahead, they just look a little different this year and you must let us know in advance that you are coming into the college so we can keep you and our staff safe and well.
How do I let you know I am coming in?
All applicants will receive an enrolment appointment for Thursday 13 August 2020. You should receive your invite towards the end of July. You need to accept this invite by Thursday 6th August if you wish to take up your place. If you are no longer interested in coming to SERC, you should decline your invite and cancel your application by logging into your online account.
Please note that failure to confirm and / or attend your appointment will result in your offer being withdrawn.
I have a Conditional Offer, what do I need to do next?
- Once you receive your invite to a pre-enrolment appointment, accept it by clicking on the link
- You then need to attend at the allocated time on Thursday 13 August 2020
- Our lecturing staff will have a chat with you, and providing you meet the entry requirements, (you will need to bring evidence of your results) will enrol you on the course
- Please note that as HE courses carry fees, you will need to bring your Direct Debit mandate or confirmation of Student Funding (Award letter) from the Student Loan Company
I applied but have not attended any pre-entry advice and guidance sessions. Can I still attend on 13 August?
- If you have not attended any pre-entry advice and guidance sessions, you will still receive an invite to attend a pre-enrolment appointment on 13 August
- You need to accept this appointment and attend at the allocated time
- At this appointment, our lecturing staff will hold a pre-entry advice and guidance session which will consist of a few questions and a skills test (ranging from an audition to a computer test). The skills test is dependant on the type of course you have applied to
- If you are successful in this, and you meet the other entry requirements of the course, (you will need to bring evidence of your results) our lecturing staff will enrol you
- Please note that as HE courses carry fees, you will need to bring your Direct Debit mandate or confirmation of Student Funding (Award letter) from the Student Loan Company
I am nervous about attending the College given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. What do you have in place to protect students?
- The College recognises that this may be a difficult time for some of you and therefore will have the appropriate PPE in place for students attending on the day
- We also have hand sanitising stations situated across the campus for your use
- Social distancing measures are also in place and you are asked to adhere to these while in the building
- A parent/guardian may attend with you but you are asked to limit this to ONE person
- We have holding areas within each of the campuses and staff on hand to keep you safe and direct you accordingly
- You can avail of the option of a remote appointment (your invite will have this information)
We are really looking forward to welcoming you to SERC after what has been a difficult and stressful number of months. May we take this opportunity to wish you a safe and peaceful summer break and good luck with your exam results!
