FE and TFS Enrolment Day Information

Thanks for clicking on the link! Whilst we are excited about a new academic term, we need to ensure that we adhere to public health guidance.

Enrolments for courses starting in September 2020 are still going ahead, they just look a little different this year and you must let us know in advance that you are coming into the college so we can keep you and our staff safe and well.

How do I let you know I am coming in?

All applicants will receive a pre-enrolment appointment for either Monday 17th , Tuesday 18th or Wednesday 19th August. You should receive your invite towards the end of July. You need to accept this invite by Thursday 13 August 2020 at 12pm if you wish to take up your place. If you are no longer interested in coming to SERC, you should decline your invite and cancel your application by logging into your online account.

Please note that failure to confirm and / or attend your appointment will result in your offer being withdrawn.

I have a Conditional Offer, what do I need to do next?

Once you receive your invite to a pre-enrolment appointment, accept it by clicking on the link
You then need to attend at the allocated time and date.
Our lecturing staff will have a chat with you, and providing you anticipate meeting the entry requirements, will pre-enrol you on the course

On results day, 20th August, you will then need to log on to your online account & upload your results before 12noon in order to confirm your place.

I applied but have not attended any pre-entry advice and guidance sessions. Can I still attend pre-enrolment?

If you have not attended any pre-entry advice and guidance sessions, you will still receive an invite to attend a pre-enrolment appointment
You need to accept this appointment and attend at the allocated time
At this appointment, our lecturing staff will hold a pre-entry advice and guidance session which will consist of a few questions and a skills test (ranging from an audition to a computer test). The skills test is dependant on the type of course you have applied to
If you are successful in this, and you meet the other entry requirements of the course, our lecturing staff will pre-enrol you

On results day, 20th August, you will then need to log on to your online account & upload your results before 12noon in order to confirm your place

I am nervous about attending the College given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. What do you have in place to protect students?

The College recognises that this may be a difficult time for some of you and therefore will have the appropriate PPE in place for students attending on the day
We also have hand sanitising stations situated across the campus for your use
Social distancing measures are also in place and you are asked to adhere to these while in the building
A parent/guardian may attend with you but you are asked to limit this to ONE person
We have holding areas within each of the campuses and staff on hand to keep you safe and direct you accordingly
You can avail of the option of a remote appointment (your invite will have this information)

I am entitled to a Travel Pass – how do I apply?

A limited number of EMA packs will be available on Campus on the pre-enrolment days

I am looking to enrol on a Training Programme. Do I get EMA or a Travel Pass?

Our Training Support Officers will give you all the information you need in relation to Training course benefits. You cannot apply for an Education Authority Travel Pass, or for the Educational Maintenance Allowance, but there are other incentives for you which the staff will be able to give you full details on
