SERC are hosting Digital Skills Training from BuzzStart Academy in partner with Facebook at the College’s SPACE, College Park Road, Bangor, at 9.30am on 2 May.

Aurla McLoughlin, Deputy Head of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship said, “This 4-and-a-half-hour intensive workshop, organised by the College Entrepreneurs’ Club, will provide participants, all aspiring entrepreneurs, with essential digital knowledge and skills as they embark on their entrepreneurial journey.  The workshop will cover topics that will make a real difference to a start-up:   

  • Making decisions with data – get the tools to make effective data informed decisions.
  • Social marketing – Learn the four-step process for success on social media
  • Web Presence – Learn how the web works and how to build your own website.

“'The content has been designed by Facebook for the target audience of 18-30-year olds. However, all age groups are welcome to attend. You must be 18+ to participate.”

She added, “The buzz from students in the Entrepreneurs’ Club about the event has reached fever pitch.   They recognise the potential to upskill themselves in this area given that the workshop is being delivered by BuzzStart Academy in partnership with one of the world’s leading social media platforms.    Participants are advised to book early to avoid disappointment as places are strictly limited.”
