Delivered part-time at our Bangor and Holywood campuses, this qualification has been updated to meet the latest BS 7671 standards and current industry guidance. The course offers a comprehensive overview of the requirements for the design, installation, and commissioning of Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS), including the preparation, equipment identification, installation, verification, and handover processes.

This qualification is suitable for learners already holding core electrotechnical qualifications and serves as a CPD route to maintain professional competence in a fast-evolving sector.

This course is aimed at qualified electricians and electrotechnical professionals.

Specific Entry Requirements:

  • Level 3 Electrotechnical vocational qualification (including initial verification and certification of electrical installations)

  • BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations (current edition)

Recommended Experience:

  • Experience working in the electrotechnical or renewable energy sector is advantageous

This course will cover the technical and safety requirements involved in the design and installation of electrical energy storage systems, including practical preparation and verification.
