Gas ACS Training and Assessment

The CCN1 core domestic gas safety certificate is regarded as an equivalent to a Level 3 QCF/RQF qualification in the gas utilisation sector and satisfies the same gas safety criteria leading to a certificate of competence recognised by the Gas Safe Register. Once gained, this allows the candidate to join the Gas Safe Register and after one years full membership on the Gas Safe Register, a candidate can enter into completing their Gas Appliances such as Cookers CKR1 and Fires HTR1 and/or LPG Changeover.

The OFTEC oil burner course is aimed at installers who want to become OFTEC registered as domestic oil firing system service technicians of pressure jet burners. The course covers the regulations and standards that apply to oil fired pressure jet heating installations and installation practice. The course is 4 days long and is split equally between classroom theory and practical activities, with 2 days of training and 2 days of assessments.

Unvented Training and Assessment

The hot water systems and safety course is aimed at experienced plumbing and heating operatives who require a qualification in the installation, servicing and maintenance of domestic hot water systems. HWSS has been developed to ensure operatives are aware of how to comply with Approved Document G (ADG) 2016 when carrying out work on hot water systems. Training includes requirements for the installation of G3 Unvented Hot Water Systems and covers systems up to 500 litres capacity and 45kW power input.
