SERC recently hosted the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce as they launched their first ‘Regional Networking Series’ which took place at SERC Space Campus, Bangor.
Over 120 members from the local business community attended the event in the first of 5 large-scale networking events which will take place across Northern Ireland throughout 2018, bringing together a wide range of businesses across numerous sectors.
The event began with speeches from Andrew Smythe, Business Development Manager at NI Chamber of Commerce who welcomed everyone to the event. This was followed by Elaine Flynn, who is the Commercial Contracts Manager for SERC’s Business Services Unit. Finally, Ian Hunter, Commercial Manager for NIE Networks and sponsor for the event.
Those who attended had the opportunity to make new contacts and promote their company as well as a discussion and question and answer session with guest speaker Philip Steele , Managing Director of Denman International Ltd. Mr. Steele shared his experience of business development and growing an award-winning business which delivers projects across the globe.
The event ended with a short Business spot light with Ellie McGimpsey the Aviation Development Manager for George Best Belfast City Airport. Mrs McGimpsey promoted the airport to all attendees before closing the event.
