Retail - Skills for Work (Level 2)

This retail framework specifies the standards and the criteria for the delivery of a Level 2 Apprenticeship training provision to achieve qualified status within the Retail Industry. Successful completion of the provision will lead to the award of Level 2

Course Overview

This course will provide you with the fundamentals to work in the retail industry.

Participants must achieve a competency based qualification and knowledge based qualification -  Level 2 Certificate in Retail Skills (City & Guilds) and Level 2 Certificate in Retail Knowledge (City & Guilds)

Students must also complete mandatory Essential Skills, Level 1 Numeracy and Level 1 Literacy

Students are required to attend their vocational class two days per week.  Employability forms part of the overall framework

Modules may include:

How to work effectively in a Retail Team

How to maintain health and safety and security within Retail

Stock Replenishment

Customer Service

Receiving and storing Goods.
