Course Overview

In the first year of the programme you will complete the BTEC 90 credit Diploma.  On successful completion of this first year you will ‘top-up’ by studying for additional units which will give you the full Extended Technical Diploma.   Equivalent to 3 A levels.

This course is suitable for students considering pathways into higher education in dance or employment in the industry. You will train in a broad range of dance practices and gain an insight into the world of dance. The course provides opportunities to develop skills in creativity and performance.   Throughout the course you will cover a number of modules, to develop both practical and theoretical skills.

You'll Need:

4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts, and successful outcome at audition/interview

 

You will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy, Numeracy or ICT if you do not have a GCSE grade C in English or Maths or Computing.
