Level 3 National Extended Diploma Performing Arts
This dynamic, project driven, vocational Performing Arts course has been designed for young aspiring actors to develop skills in acting, movement, voice, devising and technical theatre that are required to work in the industry. This course is a full time two year programme and is equivalent to 3 A levels.
With the emphasis on live performance you will develop both practical and theoretical skills through study of 18 units that make up the Extended Diploma in Performing Arts.
You will learn through Project Based Learning (PBL) enhancing your performance skills while performing to public audiences in our state of the art facilities (Space) as part of SERC’s Glass Umbrella Theatre Company (Bangor) and with Sercus Theatre Company (Lisburn) in our Historical Landmark Building, Castle House.

You will also work towards a Personal Development qualification and will be involved in a range of PBL activities, designed to improve your employability.
4 GCSEs at Grade C or above in any subject, or a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts, and successful outcome at workshop audition and interview.
If you do not have a GCSE grade C in English, Mathematics and ICT, you will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.

Pearson BTEC HND in Performing Arts
This exciting and dynamic full-time 2 year course has an emphasis on learning skills current to the performing arts industry with the aim of increasing your employability. It is a production-based course for students who wish to develop skills in the performing arts. The course is highly practical, but it also demands academic ability. We use Project Based Learning (PBL) approaches which give you industry relevant experiential learning. This will prepare you for employment within the broad spectrum of the performing arts field.
Level 3 Diploma in Theatrical. Special Effects and Hair and Media Make-Up
This 1 year course is aimed at those who already have experience within the make up industry and has a working portfolio. It has been specifically designed to develop practical skills to an advanced level through a variety of techniques.
Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Production Arts
This course is equivalent to 1 GCE A-Level and gives you the opportunity to study on an engaging programme comprised of both practical and academic elements.
