Throughout the programme you will learn about small-scale repairs in various trades in the construction sector such as:

  • Building Brickwork
  • Painting and Decorating
  • Plastering
  • Plumbing
  • Carpentry repairs
  • Health and Safety in the workplace

You'll Learn:
How to complete small-scale repairs in various trade areas such as Painting & Decorating, Plastering, Plumbing, C&J and Building Work

You'll Progress:
On successful completion of this programme it can lead to further study at level 3 in a specific trade area. Alternatively it can lead to employment in Facilities or Building Maintenance.

You'll Need:
 
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE's including at least grade E in English and Maths. However to help you succeed on the course it is preferable if you have a minimum of grade D in Maths or English.
  • You will be required to complete Essential Skills Literacy, Numeracy and ICT if you do not have a GCSE grade C or Level 2 Essential Skill in English, Maths or IT.
