IOE Level 3 Customs Practitioner Award
The Customs Practitioner Award is delivered in conjunction with the Institute of Export. The course will enhance your knowledge and understanding of the procedures, documentation, rules, legislation and requirements for moving goods into and out of Northern Ireland.

The course is delivered on-line over 4 full days within a 2-3 month period with completion of a multiple choice assessment to gain the qualification.
The student will be able to avail of the IOE Canvas on-line portal which gives detailed information regarding Import & Export within International Trade.
The course will cover:
- Customs Procedures and Documentation
- Customs Classification and Tariff Codes
- Understanding rules of origin, free trade agreements and export preference
- Moving goods into and out of Northern Ireland
You work in any industry in Northern Ireland where goods are imported or exported.
Or you are seeking employment in industry where goods are imported or exported.
The Level 3 and Level 4 Certificate in International Trade is offered throughout the year, you can work on the modules as and when suits you.

To avail of this free course you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
(a) over 18 years of age;
(b) eligible to work in Northern Ireland;
(c) ‘settled’ in Northern Ireland, and has been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years; or
(d) is a person who has indefinite leave to enter or remain in the UK.

If you have just completed your GCSEs, Further Education is most likely the option for you. FE covers qualifications from entry to higher level qualifications such as Awards, Certificates, Diplomas, NVQ, BTEC and Apprenticeships.
