Engineering - Skills for Work (Level 2)
The course will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge essential to work within the engineering industry. The course will enable you to qualify for a Level 2 EAL Diploma in Engineering Technology.
Modules may include:
Engineering Environment Awareness
Turning and Milling Machines Techniques and Technology
Producing Components from Sheet Metal
Manual Welding Techniques
You will also study Essential Skills to Level 1 in Numeracy, Literacy and ICT unless exempt through GCSE grades C in English, Maths and ICT.
Placements are an integral part of this programme where you will gain valuable work experience.
As a student you will spend a minimum of 12 hours a week in the College and this is subject to trainees having a work placement.

Level 3 National Diploma Engineering - Advanced Manufacturing
This 2-year course is the equivalent to 2 A levels. This course incorporates current technical knowledge with industry recognised practical training
Level 3 National Extended Diploma Engineering - Advanced Manufacturing
This 2-year course is equivalent to 3 A levels and contains a mixture of theoretical units and industry recognised practical training.
