Course Overview

VTCT L4 Dip. Reflexology QCF is a government skills approved qualification covering advanced reflexology techniques suitable to be used in clinical settings.

You will study mandatory advanced reflexology techniques to include, hand, ear, face, maternity reflexology in all stages of pregnancy and post pregnancy, palliative care and  life limiting conditions, foot reading and emotional interpretations and other specialist techniques. The study of a range of applications such as meridian reflexology, zone therapy and other techniques to maximise understanding and precision in working practices. 

There will be 36 evidenced treatments which will be evidenced as subjects are covered during the qualification. 

A specialist progression route is provided to prepare already qualified Level 3 therapists in developing advanced technical knowledge regarding treatments, therapeutic skills, interpersonal skills and appropriate methods for working with clients who have life limiting conditions in a clinical setting.

Complementary therapies are now widely available to people with cancer and increasingly to patients with a range of long term conditions. The therapies are delivered alongside orthodox treatments, often in a health care setting, with the aim of providing psychological and emotional support through the relief of symptoms.

Entry Requirements

There is a prerequisite of level 3 Diploma qualification in Reflexology, Aromatherapy or Massage which must include Anatomy and Physiology.

Where will it take me?

The qualification is designed to lead to employment in a variety of roles, either within a hospital, hospice or health care environment or self-employed, in a complementary health clinic, beauty spa, private clinic.

How will it make me more employable?

The qualification is supported by Ofqual and FHT and is designed for qualified therapists to reach a suitable standard to work in a healthcare clinical setting.

How will I be assessed and given feedback?

Assessment will include assignments, research, hands on practice, case studies and where possible conducting some treatments in a clinical setting.
