Course Overview

You will achieve all the Level 3 outcomes required to match the occupational framework.

This 2 year course consists of advanced practical tasks to include area as below :

 Units studied may include:   

  • Production Arts Workshop

  • Production Arts Planning

  • Performing Arts Business

  • Stage Lighting Operations

  • Stage Sound Operations

  • Scenic Construction for the Stage

  • Props Making

  • Designing Costume for Performance

  • Stage Management

You will also work towards a Personal Development qualification and will be involved in a range of activities, designed to improve employability.   

Entry Requirements
You must be employed within the Theatre industry and have completed the Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification in Technical Theatre.

Where will it take me?
On completion of this course you will be a fully qualified and can study on a part-time basis while you work.
How will it make me more employable?
This course can give you qualifications which will improve your job opportunities and you will also complete modules in employability skills
How will I be assessed and given feedback?
You will be assessed throughout the year on: performances, individual and group work, research and evaluations.
Each unit will have a number of assignments that will be graded at distinction, merit and pass level.
