Course Overview
This 1 year course is the equivalent to 1 A Level
Subjects studied may include:

• The Business Environment
• Business Resources
• Introduction to Marketing
• Business Communication
• Business Accounting
• Recruitment and Selection in Business
You will also work towards a Personal Development qualification and will be involved in a range of activities, designed to improve employability. You are required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy and Numeracy if you do not have a GCSE Grade C in English or Maths or ICT.
Entry Requirements
4 GCSE passes at grade C or above. You will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT if you do not have a GCSE grade C or above in these subjects.
Where will it take me?
Successful completion of this course will lead directly onto further study on the 1 year Level 3 Diploma in Business.  Alternatively the course can also lead directly into a career in Banking, Insurance, Civil Service, Retail, Accountancy
How will it make me more employable?
As well as gaining a recognised qualification you will take part in employability skills workshops such as teamwork, commitment, IT and problem solving. The Career Academy Programme is an integral part of this course which will offer you the knowledge to make informed career decisions. This programme provides the opportunity for students to gain experience in the world of work by gaining an external internship.
How will I be assessed and given feedback?
The course is 100% assessment based with 6 units assessed in each year.
