Course Overview
This Level 3 course is a great way for those already working to gain a nationally recognised qualification and to gain new skills.
 
You will learn how refrigeration and air conditioning systems work, particularly for commercial properties, and develop the skills and knowledge in how to fit and maintain systems.
 
Some units covered may include:
  • Understand how to organise resources within BSE
  • Service and maintain Halocarbon 'fluorinated' refrigeration systems
  • Understand Halocarbon 'fluorinated' refrigeration system service and maintenance techniques
  • Understand and carry out electrical work on RAC systems and components
  • Understand and carry out electrical work on RAC systems and components

 

Entry Requirements
Students need to have completed the Level 2 refrigeration programme or have relevant industry experience to gain entrance onto this course.
 
An interview with the course tutor will also take place.
Where will it take me?
You could progress on to further study, or find employment in the refrigeration and air conditioning profession.
How will it make me more employable?
You will have gained the knowledge and skills to fulfil specialist roles in the built environment sector.
