Level 3 Diploma in Property: Residential Property Letting & Management (4401-32)

This course has been developed for learners who are currently working in support/supervisory roles in residential sales/management and allows them to take a qualification that recognises their current skills and knowledge.

Course Overview
This 1 year stand-alone course is the equivalent to 2 A levels. Through this course you will learn about a range of residential property related topics.
Subjects studied may include:
•    The key legislation, guidelines and codes of practice in residential sales
•    Methods and strategies for reducing risks to health and safety in the workplace
•    Methods and strategies for maintaining the security of individuals and properties
•    The core professional values and skills set required in selling property
•    Methodologies and strategies for matching and promoting properties
•    Mastering social media and new technology in marketing and selling properties
•    Negotiating the sale of property in Northern Ireland
• Implementing and reviewing key marketing activities
• Standards of professional conduct and how to provide accompanied viewings of properties
•    Market appraisals and offering expert advice on the presentation of properties
•    How to obtain instructions and agree marketing activities
You need to secure a work placement in an Estate Agency setting to complete the competency based assessment element of this qualification. 

Entry Requirements
6 GCSEs C grade or equivalent and Maths and English GCSE passes at grade C or above or Essential Skills numeracy and literacy level 2.
Where will it take me?
The course can lead directly into a career in Estate Agency or Investment and Property Development.
How will it make me more employable?
As well as gaining a recognised qualification you will take part in employability skills workshops such as teamwork, commitment, IT and problem solving. This programme provides the opportunity for students to gain experience in Estate Agency by acquiring an external internship. On completion students will also be eligible to apply for membership of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) the UK’s leading professional body for estate agency.

How will I be assessed and given feedback?
The course is 100% assessment based with 10 units assessed in the one year. Assessment will take place in SERC and the workplace and will include a portfolio of evidence to meet the criteria of the qualification
