Course Overview


This course will involve completing two units:

  • Paediatric First Aid
  • Managing Paediatric Illness, Injuries and Emergencies

Entry Requirements
You must be 16 years of age or over and have a good standard of general education. You must be able to undertake practical activities.
Where will it take me?

The aim of this qualification is to provide you with an opportunity to achieve an accredited qualification that meets the criteria for those working with children in a looked-after environment.


The qualification will also promote the importance of recognising the unwell child and a consequent awareness of the boundaries to the practice of the worker.

How will it make me more employable?

You will have a recognised qualification in First Aid.  Which will be relevant for Early Years work environments

How will I be assessed and given feedback?

Practical observations and written work.
