Level 3 Award In the In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT)

This course is a recognised qualification for people undertaking the practical inspection and testing of electrical equipment (PAT Testing).

Course Overview
The Level 3 Award in the In-Service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) is aimed at those undertaking the physical inspection and testing of electrical equipment in the workspace.
It covers all types of equipment defined within the Code of Practice. 
The course is suitable for anyone who undertakes inspection and testing of portable appliances as well as anyone involved in the administration and management of PAT.
Entry Requirements
A basic knowledge of electrical equipment is required, you will also have an interview with the course tutor.
Where will it take me?
This course allows candidates to progress into:
  • Level 3 Award in the Requirements Electrical Installations BS 7671 (2382) 
  • Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations (2394)
How will it make me more employable?
On completion of this course you will be equipped with the knowledge to inspect and test electrical equipment and may progress to employment within the Electrical trade.
How will I be assessed and given feedback?
Assessment will be carried out through online tests and practical assessments.
