Level 3 90-credit Diploma in Performing Arts


This 1 year course is equivalent to 3x AS levels and leads onto the 1 year Extended Diploma (top-up)-students who successfully complete the 90 credit course will automatically be rolled over onto the Extended Diploma and do not need to apply online.

Course Overview

This 1 year course is equivalent to 3x AS levels and leads onto the 1 year Extended Diploma (top-up)-students who successfully complete the 90 credit course will automatically be rolled over onto the Extended Diploma & do not need to apply online. 

This course has an emphasis on live performance, students will develop both practical and theoretical skills through study of a variety of units.

 

Units studied may include:

 

  • Performance Workshop

  • Performing Arts Business

  • Dance Performance

  • Performance to an Audience

  • Theatre for Children

  • Devising Plays

  • Audio Performance Acting

  • Drama Improvisation

 

You will also work towards a Personal Development qualification and will be involved in a range of activities, designed to improve your employability.

4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts, and successful outcome at audition/interview.
