This 1 year course is equivalent to 3 AS Levels. This course will help you to develop engineering skills and techniques transferable to future employment in the engineering industry
Modules may include:
Health & Safety in the Engineering Workplace
Mechanical Principles & Applications
Mathematics for Engineering Technicians
Principles & Applications of Electronic Devices & Circuits
Computer Aided Drafting
Engineering Secondary & Finishing Techniques
Properties and Applications of Engineering Materials
Electronic Circuit Design and Construction
Selecting and Using Programmable Controllers
You will also work towards a Personal Development qualification and will be involved in a range of activities, designed to improve employability. You will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy and Numeracy if you do not have a GCSE grade C in English or Maths or ICT. You will attend college a minimum of 15 hours per week.
