Level 2 Certificate in Professional Patisserie and Confectionery

This qualification is for learners who work or want to work as patisserie chef in the catering and hospitality sector.

Course Overview

This full time programme of study will comprise of practical delivery in the college.

Delivery of the programme will be both the kitchen and the classroom.

It allows candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the catering and hospitality sector.

Entry Requirements

This level will suit those with little or no experience in pastry and confectionery.

Applicants will require (2 GCSE at D Grade).

Where will it take me?

This qualification will allow learners to progress into employment as a pastry chef or to follow on to Level 3 qualifications in Patisserie & Confectionary.

How will it make me more employable?

With a growing demand for pastry chefs in NI, this qualification will give you a strong foundation in pastry skills.

How will I be assessed and given feedback?

Candidates will be assessed via practical tests, written theory papers and written assignments, which will be externally set and verified.
