Level 2 Award in Computerised Payroll

This Award is specifically designed to appeal to those who work as, or are aspiring to work as, professional payroll administrators.

Course Overview
The course will enable candidates to develop an understanding of day-to-day payroll procedures and activities and how to apply them using commercially available computerised software.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry qualifications. However, candidates are expected to possess basic skills in numeracy, literacy and Windows based information technology.
Where will it take me?
The Award is specifically designed to appeal to those who work as, or are aspiring to work as, professional payroll administrators.
How will it make me more employable?
This is a widely recognised qualification from a long established professional body, which employers seek.  The examination tests proficiency in widely used commercial payroll software - Sage 50 Payroll.
How will I be assessed and given feedback?
You will be assessed through an externally set and marked examination of 2 hours 30 minutes, consisting of a series of practical computerised tasks.  In addition you will be expected to satisfactorily complete a classroom based knowledge test of 1 hour.
Please note that although this course is run in the evening exams may be held during the day.
