Course Overview

This course aims to equip you to understand the basics of programming a computer.

The Introduction to Programming Course will be taught in either C++ or Visual Basic (or similar) and will cover basic programming concepts such as data types, conditional statements, program control, subroutines and parameters. The course will look at good practice when writing code and how to debug errors using black box and white box testing. The concepts of object-orientated programming will be introduced but most of the coding will be procedural.
