Introduction to Bakery Skills

This is a leisure course, producing a selection of pastry goods. This course is suitable for anyone wishing to start baking or upskilling your current pastry skills

Course Overview
This course will introduce you to basic breads, Gourmet biscuits, gourmet cakes and cake decorating.
Use of different cake decorating techniques, methods and styles.
Also how to finish and present your bakery products.
Subjects studied will include:
Baking a range of breads/flat breads, bloomers and in riched breads.
Baking gourmet biscuits/brandy snaps, cookies and lots more.
Baking gourmet cakes/Lavender cake, madeira cake, Victoria sandwich
Cake decorating/fondant toppers, sugar flowers, cut outs and piping skills
Entry Requirements
You will need to bring your own ingredients every week
