Course Overview

On successful completion of the programme you will be awarded a BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Engineering and a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering

 Subjects studied include:

  • Health and Safety in the Engineering Workplace

  • Mechanical Principles and Applications

  • Mathematics for Engineering Technicians

  • Computer Aided Drafting

  • Engineering Secondary and Finishing Techniques

  • Properties and Applications of Engineering Materials

Entry Requirements
  • Suitable employment within the engineering industry
  • Successful completion of the Level 2 Apprenticeship in Engineering

 
Where will it take me?

This course is equivalent to 1 A Level and successful completion of the course may allow progression to a Higher Level Apprenticeship.

How will it make me more employable?

This course can give you formal qualifications which will improve your job opportunities and employability skills.

How will I be assessed and given feedback?

This course is assignment based. There are no examinations..

There are not normally any additional costs though students will benefit from having access to a computer or laptop at home.
