Course Overview

When working with electricity, safety is paramount. Good working practice should be implemented.

This course looks at:

  • Electrical safety
  • Basic electrical principles
  • The use of test equipment
Entry Requirements
This course is aimed at personnel working in the industry whose responsibilities include the maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment and/or installations.
Where will it take me?
On outcome, personnel will be equipped with a basic understanding of electrical maintenance and be conversant with the use of electrical test equipment.
How will I be assessed and given feedback?
Assessment will be informal through a range of practical and written tasks.
