Course Overview
The course is about being employed in permanent position and obtaining training to Fulfil Requirements as set By NISCC.
Entry Requirements
for Childcare students - apprenticeships  for either level  3
aged 18 -24
must be in permanent work  from day one in registered childcare environment  in a Northern Ireland-based company, working with experienced staff to learn and develop your skills.be working a minimum of 21 hours per week on a permanent contract (verification of same will be required )
meet all the entry requirements of your chosen apprenticeship (for example some apprenticeships will require you to have GCSEs) - verification of same will be required
Employer must be involved from start of programme with training organisation via tri -parte agreement. (employer/student /serc)

CACHE level 3 501/1024/x 
Single unit award Employment rights and responsibilities
12 hrs paediatric first aid
level 2 Essential  skills literacy
 level 2 essential skill numeracy
Level 2 essential skill ICT
attendance to weekly underpinning knowledge delivery by training organisation ( serc)

This course can lead to further progression in your career to allow you to apply for senior supervisory   positions and work towards level 5 managerial roles and courses.

How will I be assessed and given feedback?
Students will receive continuous support from tutor/assessor to guide the students to provide evidence to show competencies in all units they study .
The course is accredited to awarding body NCFE CACHE .
