Course Overview

This course enables you to learn a range of catering skills, both practical and theoretical.

 

Modules may covered include:

 

  • Food safety
  • Health and safety in catering
  • Healthier foods
  • Costs and menu planning
  • Preparing and cooking a range of foods

Entry Requirements
4 GCSE's grade A - D or significant experience.
Where will it take me?
You can progress onto a Level 3 Professional Cookery qualification or full time employment in the industry.
How will it make me more employable?
Throughout the course you will develop industry standard skills in both practical and theory based elements of the culinary arts. Project based learning will be used as a means of developing skills
How will I be assessed and given feedback?
You are required to demonstrate that you meet industry standard through  formal practical assessments and theory tests.
Additional Costs
A set of chef's whites and safety shoes are required and will cost £60.
