Course Overview
This 2 year course is equivalent to 4 GCSE's. The course requires an attendance commitment of 7 hours per week and you will need to be employed to enrol onto the course.
Modules may include:
Core units:
 • Carrying out your responsibilities at work
 • Working within your business environment
In addition, you will complete further optional units in order to suit your Employment position.
Optional units:
 • Ensuring your own actions reduce risks to health and safety
 • Managing customer relations
 • Managing diary systems
 • Operating office equipment
 • Organising and supporting meetings
 • Researching and reporting information
 • Producing documents
 • Working effectively with other people
You will also work towards a Personal Development Qualification and will be involved in a range of activities, designed to improve your employability.
You will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy and Numeracy or ICT if you do not have a GCSE grade C or above in English or Maths or Computing.
The qualification will provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your skills and knowledge needed for a career in business and administration. 

Entry Requirements
No formal qualifications are required in order to be accepted onto this course, however there may be an initial assessment.
Where will it take me?

Successful completion of this course will lead either to employment in the field of Business Administration or further study at Level 3 in Business Administration.

This course will give you the opportunity to take on further responsibilities within the workplace, enhance your skills to gain promotion or expand abilities to take on new challenges.

How will it make me more employable?

• Gaining a vocational qualification demonstrating your technical competence
• Gaining a Personal Development qualification demonstrating your employability skills (communication, teamwork, critical thinking)

This course will help you succeed in a highly competitive job market by developing the skills and knowledge which employers need you to have.

This course will equip students with skills in the practical application of business administration while also providing them the opportunity to progress to further education or seek relevant employment. Additionally, there will be Project Based Learning activities to enhance your team working skills.

How will I be assessed and given feedback?

You will be assessed throughout the course:
You will plan a programme of development and assessment with an assessor, and compile a portfolio of evidence to prove that you are competent and knowledgeable in a work role.

There will be a one-to-one review with the assessor on your progress.
