This course provides an introduction to practical gardening techniques in a relaxed and informal environment. Our campus garden is used as an outdoor classroom, and over the course of the term you will be introduced to many seasonal aspect of gardening.
Modules may include:
Planting plans and techniques
General garden maintenance

There are no formal entry requirements. This course is suitable if you have an interest, but not necessarily the experience, in gardening.
Where will it take me?
You may progress into any of our other Horticulture courses including Level 2 Garden Design, L2 Organic Fruit and Vegetables or to the RHS Level 2 Certificate in Horticulture.

How will I be assessed and given feedback?
Assessment is through a mix of written and practical work. You are required to submit an assessed portfolio at the end of the course.
